Navidi's Savory Pear and Arugula Salad

Serves 6


• 6 cups arugula, washed and spun dry 

• 3 ripe pears

• 6-8 oz goat cheese

• 3 Tablespoons Navidi's Fig Balsamic 

• 3 Tablespoon Navidi's Lemon Fused Olive Oil

• 1 Tablespoon butter

• 1 Tablespoon minced chives

• Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:  Wash and dry pears.  Halve lengthwise, keeping stem intact, if possible.  Core.  Warm 1 Tablespoon of the olive oil and butter in a large saute pan.  Add pears, cut side down, and cook for about 12 minutes or until pears are tender when pierced with  sharp knife. Flip and cook a few minutes more or until soft enough to cut with a fork.  Remove the pears to a platter and cover to keep warm.  Divide arugula among 6 plates and top with a drizzle of Lemon Olive Oil and a sprinkle of salt.  On each plate of arugula place a pear half, cut side up, in the center.  Using a small spoon, add goat cheese to the center of each pear.  Drizzle with Fig Balsamic and sprinkle with chives.  Finish with a little salt on the arugula and pepper on the pear with goat cheese.  Enjoy!
