Popsicle Time!
Fruit bars, paletas, popsicles, ice pops…whatever you call them and however you make them, we all crave cold and refreshing treats in the summertime. Navidi’s carries a variety of products that will help you make delicious and creative popsicles.
The first question to ask yourself is whether you want to have a fruit or cream base to your pop. Fresh fruit purees (just cube and blend in your blender or fruit processer) and juices will create a light base. Using juice concentrate will lend a stronger, sweeter flavor to your pop. Another option is to use Greek yogurt or, for a vegan pop, coconut milk. You don’t have to choose one or the other; the fruit and cream bases can be used together. When layered in your popsicle mold, they create an enticing visual effect. Thin slices of fruit can also make your pops beautiful and appetizing.
Incorporate swirls of Navidi’s balsamics for delicious, concentrated taste and to create pops with multiple, layered flavors. We recommend using primarily our infused white balsamics, whose flavors include Coconut, Cranberry-Pear, Grapefuit, Green Apple, Honey-Ginger, Key Lime, Orange & Vanilla, Peach, Raspberry, and Sicilian Lemon. Using dark balsamics will darken the color of your pops.
Our teas, like our various chais and herbal teas, can be brewed in a strong, concentrated form to flavor your pops. Try adding swirls of Caramel Kitchen’s Caramel Sauces and Medjool Magic’s Organic Date Syrups to sweeten and flavor your frozen treats. We carry Bourbon, Chipotle, Chocolate, Cinnamon Vanilla, Espresso, and Salted Caramel sauces and date syrup in original Date, Cinnamon, and Cocoa flavors. Finally, our infused cane sugars and salts can add a tasty finish and texture to the outside or top of your pops; we’ve got Espresso, Ginger, and Raspberry cane sugars and salts like Chipotle, Lime Fresco, and Thai Ginger.
If you like your pops on the sweet side, you may want to add additional sweetener (our balsamics and date syrups are naturally sweet). Honey blends well with the other ingredients. If you’re vegan, try using stevia or a simple syrup made from cane sugar.
